4 Things To Know About The Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano By Jaeger-LeCoultre
The Reverso is a watch that, despite its numerous variations since launching in 1931, remains completely timeless. The latest collaboration between Jaeger-LeCoultre and Argentine bespoke bootmaker Casa Fagliano, the new Tribute Duoface Fagliano Limited Edition has been unveiled to celebrate the collection’s 90th anniversary. Thanks to its sleek silhouette and flip-over case, this timepiece perfectly combines JaegerLeCoultre’s past with its present.
The Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano’s limited series number—190 pieces— pays tribute to the fact that 2021 is the 90th anniversary of the Reverso’s debut. Since its launch in 1931, the collection has been strapped to the wrists of everyone from Hollywood stars to world leaders. Made for British Army officers who played polo in India, the Reverso’s dial was designed so that it could be flipped over from back to front, to protect it from the rigours of matches.
In 1994, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced the first Reverso Duoface, which offers contrasting faces on either side for when the dial is flipped over. The Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano has a burgundy-red lacquered dial on one side and a silver dial with a Clous de Paris guilloché pattern on the other.
This new timepiece is complemented by an original two-tone strap, specially designed and hand-crafted by Casa Fagliano, the world-famous Argentinian maker of canvas-and-leather polo boots.
The watch comes with a pink-gold case, 47 mm x 28.3 mm x 10.3 mm, which houses the hand-wound Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 854A/2.
