Hermès launches the Faubourg Manchette watch
Although the Faubourg watch was launched in 2014, the people at Hermès decided to take it to the next level by introducing it as an all leather-clad Manchette or cuff watch.
Hermès designed the Faubourg Manchette with the idea of a saddle and harness in mind to pay homage to their origins as a saddle- and harness-maker. Its miniature case is also enclosed in the finest leathers available.
When teamed with the rose gold version, the cuff strap can be crafted from a list alligator leather colors like Havana, agate red, black, ultraviolet, geranium and elephant grey.
When paired with steel, the more fitting choice is calf in a natural Barénia leather version or in deeper shades of electric blue, iris, orange or red.
The leather is fashioned to resemble an extension of a case that will provide a smooth and impeccable flow around the wearer’s wrist, whether in its more classic or tangy colors.
The signature Hermès saddle stitching emphasises the pure lines of the object, allowing the cuff watch to fit like a second skin.
