The limited edition L.U.C XP Esprit de Fleurier Peony showcases Chopard’s remarkable handcrafted skills in art and watchmaking.
Every year, Chopard produces a watch that features its favourite muse, the peony. It also happens to be the maison’s co-president and artistic director Caroline Scheufele’s favourite flower. It blooms only once a year, in spring and only for a month. Its ephemeral nature is what makes it so precious.

The blooms on the new L.U.C XP Esprit de Fleurier Peony, which is limited to eight pieces, are depicted in luscious shades of pink. The petals are hand-painted on a purple dial using the camaieu technique to allow them to stand out. Instead of shading to highlight the shapes, a piece of white mother-of-pearl is carefully cut and then gently applied onto the painted petals to provide the desired outlines.
