Bulgari Octo All Blacks 100 Club special watch

To celebrate its four years of partnership, Bulgari created special limited edition watches for members of the All Blacks ‘100’ Club.

In the days leading up to the world rugby tournament, fine Italian jewellery, watches and luxury goods brand Bulgari – the official sponsor to the All Blacks for the past four years – chose to honour the longest-serving players and management of the legendary New Zealand team with a special commemorative watch at a special event in London.

The special Octo All Blacks 100 Club watches were presented to four players – All Blacks captain Richie McCaw, Tony Woodcock, Daniel Carter and Keven Mealamu – who have played 100 or more Test matches. Bulgari also recognised 12 members of the current All Blacks management team who have officiated over 100 Test matches.

The limited edition watches, inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci, bears the initials of the players and their All Blacks number on the sapphire crystal case-back.

The centre of the smoked sapphire crystal features the historical silver fern leaf motif, which is the All Blacks emblem, along with the year 1905, the year the famous All Blacks “Originals” team undertook their ground-breaking tour of North America and Europe.

The dial boasts a Maori mask designed by Maori carver Tana Salzmann.

“The watch embodies the common vales shared by both Bulgari and the All Blacks as being synonymous with intense passion, commitment, teamwork, success and victories, each in their own realm,” notes Mr Jean-Christophe Babin, the CEO of Bulgari.
