Targeted at the urban gentleman, the new BR 05 chronograph makes for a handsome and functional wingman
In 2019, Bell & Ross unveiled its brand-new collection of watches, the BR05 series. It was well-received worldwide for its strong design language, which is very similar to that of the iconic BR01 and BR03 collections. Watches from the two collection were inspired by aircraft cockpit instruments and sported a round bezel framing a round dial inside a square case with rounded corners. Four prominent screws held the upper and lower parts of the case together. The BR05 looks and feels the same except that the rounded square is the shape of the bezel rather than the actual case body. Importantly, this small difference lends the watch a completely different look: less of the testosterone-laced military and aviation vibes, and more of a dressier touch for the modern urbanite.
This year, the watchmaker follows up on the success of the BR05 with a new chronograph version. Equipped with the self-winding calibre BR-CAL.301, it comes with either a navy blue or jet black dial with an integrated steel bracelet. It is also available with a blue or black rubber strap that gives the wearer an alternative option to suit his multi-faceted lifestyle.
