Tiffany & Co. launches campaign celebrating “Bird on a Rock” jewellery collection, starring Zhang Ziyi and Abby Champion
Tiffany & Co. has recently unveiled a new campaign for its celebrated high jewellery and fine jewellery collections, Bird on a Rock. Under the creative direction of Nathalie Verdeille, Jean Schlumberger’s iconic 1965 motif has been reinterpreted with a spirit attuned to the modern age, balancing heritage with innovation. The collection introduces two fine jewellery designs and two new high jewellery chapters, each revealing Tiffany & Co.’s mastery of craftsmanship and its dedication to honouring precious gemstones through creations that feel both timeless and utterly contemporary.

In the fine jewellery line, Bird on a Rock is expressed in two styles: figurative and abstract. The figurative birds are crafted from platinum, 18K gold and radiant gemstones, suggesting the sensation of flight while resting lightly on the wearer. By contrast, the abstract Wings motif recalls the elegance of movement, its sculptural lines echoing the delicate pattern of sparrow’s feathers. Two new high jewellery chapters further honour Tiffany & Co.’s gemstone legacy. One set dazzles with tanzanite, while the other draws inspiration from the vivid allure of turquoise.

Following the high jewellery campaign earlier this year, the new chapter introduces fresh designs alongside the Sixteen Stone collection, paying tribute to the American jeweller’s legacy of artistry. The campaign stars actress Zhang Ziyi and model Abby Champion. Shot by photographer Carlijn Jacobs and styled by Katie Burnett, the visuals unfold against a backdrop of open skies and drifting clouds, infusing each jewel with a sense of elegance and grandeur.
The campaign also presents a series of films that honour both the legacy and evolution of Bird on a Rock. Structured in three chapters, the film first reflects on the brand’s longstanding fascination with birds and avian motifs. It then poetically recreates the moment Jean Schlumberger encountered a rare bird and transformed that vision into a legendary design. Finally, it traces the journey of Bird on a Rock from brooch to enduring cultural icon.
Uniting legendary heritage with a contemporary spirit, Tiffany & Co.’s Bird on a Rock campaign affirms its place as a timeless icon, continuing to enchant admirers of beauty around the world.
