We look back to the life of Elizabeth Taylor to learn more about her collection of exquisite jewellery and couture wardrobe that will all be put under the hammer with Christie’s New York this December
Beginning her acting career as a child, in her time Elizabeth Taylor was more than an actress; she was a fashion icon, jewellery and art collector and a humanitarian that captured the hearts of fans from around the world.
After her passing in March this year, it was announced that over a landmark series of events, exhibitions and auctions that will be held from late November to mid-December, for the first time the world will be able to view her prized possessions and will be given the opportunity to take a piece of the memorabilia, that once belonged to the legendary actress, home with them.
The travelling collection of Elizabeth Taylor’s possession held by Christie’s auction house will be exhibited in Hong Kong from 25-27 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai. The final debut of this exhibition will be held at Christie’s New York from December 3 -12, before the items are auctioned off in a succession of five auctions starting on December 13 at Christie’s New York, with a special online auction taking place on December 3.
