Swarovski brings Cinderella’s glass slipper to life with shimmering crystal details for Disney’s 100th anniversary
Swarovski is partnering with Disney to celebrate The Walt Disney Company's 100th anniversary through a special initiative called Disney 100 Years of Wonder (Disney100). This year-long celebration highlights Disney’s incredible legacy of storytelling. It brings together some of the world's most renowned creative visionaries and emerging talents from various fields to create Disney-inspired pieces that support the Make-A-Wish® charity.
One of the contributions to honour Disney’s magical artistry and imagination comes from Swarovski's global creative director, Giovanna Engelbert, who has recreated a replica of the iconic crystal slipper from Disney’s 2015 live-action movie Cinderella.

Swarovski’s skilled artisans took over 150 hours to meticulously craft this exquisite slipper from solid Aurora Borealis crystal. The crystal’s unique reflective properties give it a magical shimmer, making it a fitting tribute to Disney's legacy of joy and wonder.
“What inspired me to recreate Cinderella’s iconic crystal slipper for Disney100 is the name of the charity and the idea of a wish,” said Engelbert. “And, of course, the slipper is the most famous shoe in the world. It is transformative and full of magic, so it was the perfect way to unite the world of Swarovski with the world of Disney.”

The collaboration between Swarovski and Disney has a long history of nearly two decades, grounded in shared values of pursuing impeccable quality and design while evoking feelings of joy and wonder. In 2005, Swarovski introduced six crystal figurines featuring some of Disney’s most beloved characters, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Goofy. Since then, Swarovski has continued to create intricately detailed and colourful crystal figurines depicting various classic Disney characters and Disney Princesses.
