A look at how celebrities used jewellery, from diamond tiaras and chokers to sparkling brooches, to complete their 'Gilded Glamour' red carpet looks
The annual Met Gala is back! The world's biggest celebrities gathered on the famed steps of The Metropolitan Museum of Art in support the museum's Costume Institute and its exhibition, In America: An Anthology of Fashion.
This year, they went all out with their red carpet ensembles, channeling the fashion from the 'Gilded Glamour' era of the later 19th century.
Following the theme, there was an abundance of elegant pearl and diamond chokers, with Billie Eilish's standout scallop diamond necklace adding a personal touch of bling to her Gucci-fied interpretation of John Singer Sargent's iconic 1885 portrait of Madame Poirson. Tiaras also made a classy return on Anna Wintour and Emma Chamberlain.
For the men, it was all about understated elegance as they donned bejewelled brooches on their lapels.
