The superstar singer now has a luxury jewellery collection that bears her name, thanks to Chopard
Having emerged from a chrysalis, the delicate yet resilient butterfly is symbol of rebirth and transformation—one that Mariah Carey chose to name her 1997 magnum opus that marked her newfound creative freedom. Featuring massive hits such as Honey and My All, the album had an edgier R&B sound compared to her previous efforts. It well-received by fans and critics, and solidified her superstar status.

Carey's sentimental attachment to the butterfly is now translated into two jewellery collections for Chopard. The Happy Butterfly collection reinterprets yet preserves the codes of the Happy Diamonds with dainty butterfly wing pieces, ranging from necklaces and earring to bangles and rings, with an openworked centre with a dancing diamond nestled between two sapphire crystals.
The second is a high jewellery collection comprising a necklace, a pair of earrings and a ring in Fairmined ethical gold, and paved entirely in diamonds.
Both collections were launched on September 16, 2022 in New York City in the presence of Caroline Scheufele, the artistic director of Chopard.
