Jewelmer
Jewelmer’s pieces, made of golden pearls, are exquisite creations, born from the immense beauty and bounty of the Philippine Sea
The Philippines is immeasurably blessed with nature, from its breathtaking vistas to the staggering biodiversity present in every corner. But it is within our crystal-clear waters where some of our most valuable treasures lie. Jewelmer’s golden South Sea pearls come forth from these depths, crafted into creations that represent a world of exquisite beauty and rarity.
Since 1979, Jewelmer has enchanted the world with these golden pearls, renowned for their exceptional lustre and produced only by the rare gold-lipped Pinctada maxima, the largest pearl-bearing oyster in the world. Further anchoring its presence is its cultural significance and reflection of the deep connection between nature and pearl farmers. Its status as the national gem of the Philippines echoes this distinction.

Each pearl sourced is the result of over 377 steps and five years of meticulous care. The signature brilliance for which it is renowned is thus traced back to this tireless, arduous process. But these pearls are not taken from the wild; instead, Jewelmer has developed its own hatcheries where the oysters are bred and raised in protected environments. This approach bolsters and contributes to the ocean’s bounty while simultaneously preserving the delicate ecological balance.
Jewelmer’s origins can be traced back to a French pearl farmer and a Filipino entrepreneur: Jacques Branellec and Manuel Cojuangco. This unique fusion of perspectives has guided and fuelled the brand’s vision to the present day. The craftsmanship of its pieces is grounded in the techniques seen in Paris’ Place Vendôme, a city square that is home to the foremost minds of luxury design. But these qualities are interwoven with Filipino heritage, infusing them with warmth and elegance.

Indeed, these international roots prove to be one of Jewelmer’s greatest strengths. Its multicultural team of designers, hailing from different backgrounds and perspectives, gives way to the unparalleled artistry for which the brand is known. In 2024, Jewelmer was bestowed with the honour of bringing to life the first Filipino-crafted crown for Miss Universe—the Lumière de l'Infini, or the “Light of Infinity.” This crown reflects Jewelmer’s passion for craftsmanship and a desire to highlight the talents of master Filipino craftsmen and its dedicated pearl farmers. This masterpiece was created with 23 golden South Sea pearls, each lustrous gem carefully matched in colour and hue—a carefully orchestrated dance of resplendent grace.
