Chaumet's patrimonial exhibition in Monaco is an absolute treat for lovers of jewels, royalty and fascinating provenance

Chaumet is set to open its doors to what is expected to be an awe-inspiring exhibition of jewellery created by the French maison for some of Europe’s most distinguished royals and noble families in Monaco this week. The patrimonial exhibition, aptly named Chaumet in Majesty Jewels of Sovereigns Since 1780, will comprise of over 250 pieces, many of which tiaras.

Carefully curated by media and cultural figure Stephane Bern, and renowned jewellery historian Christophe Vachaudez, Chaumet in Majesty will feature pieces never before shown to the public. These magnificent bejewelled specimens were drawn from collections of 15 museums and 40 private lenders, including His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, and Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.

Guests will be able to appreciate the pieces in a multi-sensory environment with a contemporary scenography that will allow one to witness the evolution of the tiara.

Here are just a few of the masterful pieces featured in this exhibition, which will open from July 12 until August 28, 2019.
