Tiffany & Co looks to the past, De Beers celebrates women, and Fred embraces spring colours

1. Fred

In 2012, Fred relaunched its nautical-themed Force 10 collection, which was first designed by the Parisian jeweller’s founder, Fred Samuel. This year, just in time for summer, the brand has unveiled a series of multicoloured bracelets set with splashy gemstones, including rubies, sapphires and amethysts. Ahoy there!

2. Tiffany & Co

Designed by chief artistic officer Reed Krakoff, Tiffany T welcomes new additions to its iconic collection. “We believe that luxury should be effortless,” says Krakoff. “Through these pieces, we convey that precious stones aren’t just for special occasions—they can be worn every day as a celebration of yourself.” Simple and elegant, Tiffany T jewellery will be released throughout the year in a series of global launches, so watch this space.

3. Bulgari

The Cinemagia collection celebrates Bulgari’s decades-long relationship with Hollywood. Smatterings of emeralds, sapphires and diamonds adorn slabs of mother-of-pearl and slivers of platinum, which have been carefully sculpted by craftsmen inspired by Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor, among others.

4. De Beers

De Beers has renewed its commitment to gender equality with its “Nature’s Wonders, As Individual As You” initiative. The campaign focuses on three women who are achieving success, all of whom are snapped wearing De Beers’ sparklers. It’s not the first time the jeweller has worked to empower and motivate women. In 2014, De Beers collaborated with Women for Women International to help female survivors of war zones, and in 2017 it partnered with UN Women to challenge gender stereotypes. Well done!

5. Cartier

It’s been a year since Cartier first launched its edgy Clash de Cartier collection, which breaks almost every rule in the jeweller’s archives. Combining three historic Cartier codes—the stud, clou carré and beads—the collection combines classic and modern design to marvellous effect. The resulting jewellery, which features chunks of coral and sea-green amazonite, is both daring and dominated by soft curves and contours that contrast against sharp lines to create a futuristic feel. Cartier’s latest additions include amazonite in heavier-set bangles and rings with rhodium-finished white and pink gold.

6. Dior Joaillerie

Victoire de Castellane continues her illustrious career as creative director of Dior Joaillerie with Dior et Moi, a breathtakingly beautiful high jewellery collection that’s bursting with colour. Thirty-nine creations boast lashings of lacquer and clutches of sparkling gemstones.

7. Boucheron

Believing snakes possess protective properties, Boucheron’s founder gifted his wife a serpent-shaped necklace for their wedding anniversary back in 1888. The maison, now under the watchful eye of creative director Claire Choisne, has since reimagined the brand’s famous serpent motif, which is the centrepiece of its Serpent Bohème collection.

8. Van Cleef & Arpels

Younghee Suh has created several artworks that showcase Van Cleef & Arpels’ jewellery. “For me, Van Cleef & Arpels’ Butterfly clips echo the creations of a famous painter from the Joseon dynasty,” says the Korean artistic director. “In her paintings, butterflies were in harmony with enchanting flowers and fruits. I wanted to connect her world with the maison’s graceful creatures.”
