A true demonstration of design and artistry, 2018's high jewellery collections are a spectacular lineup of masterfully crafted jewels inspired by exotic blooms, animals and landscapes to cosmic displays, beloved fairy tales and luxurious lace
For 2018, luxury jewellery brand Chaumet continues its peripatetic heritage with Les Mondes de Chaumet, a high jewellery collection representing three destinations in three stages. The first stop was Promenades Impériales of Russia in January, then Japan’s Chant du Printemps in June, and finally Trésors d’Afrique, launched in July, the third territory on this creative journey through reinvented realms.
Filled with references to the flora and fauna of sub-Saharan Africa, Trésors d’Afrique comprises 75 pieces of high jewellery divided into five parts—Talismania, Cascade Royales, Ronde de Pierres, Terres d’Or, and Espiègleries. Designed by Kenyan artist Evans Mbugua, Espiègleries is a series of six brightly coloured humorous creations featuring elephant, zebra, monkey, giraffe, lion, flamingos and ants in delightfully offbeat situations.
