Caroline Scheufele, co-president and artistic director of Chopard, talks to us about the brand’s most ambitious project to date: "The Garden of Kalahari" high jewellery collection. The diamonds in this spectacular jewellery suite are cut from an exceptional 342-carat diamond rough—which they named the Queen of Kalahari—found in a mine in Botswana known to produce top quality gems. A total of 23 stones of various cuts were produced from the rough, five of which are over 20 carats.

This extraordinary set is intended to be bought as a set, at an estimated value of US$75 million. Scheufele spoke exclusively to Hong Kong Tatler about the incredible journey creating this set—from the discovery of the rough to cutting it, to designing and creating the jewellery.
