Themed ‘When the Ordinary becomes Precious’, the installation showcased new jewellery pieces inspired by mechanics and hardware.
To cement the newest additions to its emblematic Juste Un Clou and Écrou de Cartier collections, Cartier threw a party celebrating a themed design exhibition ‘When the Ordinary becomes Precious’ at the Salone del Mobile event in Milan.
Held from April 5-9 at the Garage Santiago, the pop up installation designed by Desi Santiago explored the subject of appropriating familiar hardware – such as the nail that inspired Juste Un Clou and the nut behind the Écrou de Cartier – into sophisticated jewellery.
The collections continue to innovate everyday objects into creative and bold accessories, for both men and women. Juste Un Clou, in particular, highlights the exquisite in the ordinary with new additions of yellow gold, 18K pink gold and 18K white gold, or paved with diamonds.
