A glimpse into the ever-expanding Butterfly Collection from the British jewellery house

A world without butterflies is a world without wonder. Beautiful, if seemingly fleeting creatures, butterflies can be seen as more than just objects of beauty. They have persisted as symbols of timeless elegance and femininity and are seen as omens of good fortune and joy. It comes as no surprise, then, that butterflies are a recurring influence on the House of Graff.

For the venerable London high jewellery house and diamond specialist, butterflies speak a mesmerising language of their own. In the latest collections, Anne-Eva Geffroy, design director of Graff, translates this language through precious white diamond watches and jewellery.

“With a joyful and carefree innocence, the Butterfly collection is infused with an uplifting energy that captures the whimsical charm of the butterfly,” says Geffroy.

The free-spirited yet classic Butterfly Silhouette collection depicts two stacked butterflies, which are mid-flight with their wings outstretched, rendered in round diamonds and clusters of pavé stones. The minimalist metal settings and visible space between add to the impression that the butterflies are “floating” on the skin.

The Pavé Butterfly recalls the iridescence of a butterfly’s wings through delicate hand-set pavé clusters that surround a central marquise diamond. Single or triple butterflies are suspended from fine white gold chains and diamond swan hooks; entwined within diamond ribbons; or set upon white gold bands. It features on white gold rings, pendants, earrings, and necklaces.

The Classic Butterfly sees pear-shaped and marquise diamonds in the perfect symmetry of the house’s signature motif. This classic collection consists of alluring rings, set within a parted diamond set band; timeless drop earrings and pendants; and an elegant white gold bracelet and matching necklace.

In white gold, four high jewellery watches make up the Classic Butterfly collection of timepieces. A multitude of dainty and intricate diamond butterflies sit within diamond-set bezels, lugs, and clasps, each featuring a dial set in diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, or rubies, and a hidden pavé crown engraved on the reverse of the face.

Designed to be “set free”, Graff’s diamond butterflies are made to be mixed and matched, and stacked and styled as you please, truly embodying the joyful and free-spirited nature of its namesake.
