Bulgari Italian Gardens high jewellery collection

The geometry of hedges, the crystal shimmer of fountains and the poetic beauty of flowers have been translated into a collection of 100 unique jewellery pieces by Bulgari.

In another feat of art, Bulgari has launched a new high jewellery collection, this time featuring 100 unique pieces inspired by the blooming gardens of Italy during the Renaissance era.

Called the ‘Giardini Italiani’ or the ‘Italian Gardens’, pieces from the collection artistically draw inspiration from the stately geometry of hedges and flowerbeds, the crystal shimmer of fountains and the poetic beauty of flowers in these pristine playgrounds.

From that profound relationship between art and nature, Bulgari has redefined the contours, trimmed the edges and remodeled the very notion of beauty and transformed it into beautiful, glimmering jewellery pieces born of man.

From the geometric sculpted evergreens: Hidden Treasure Earrings

The Hidden Treasures earrings draw their evocative power from 4 fancy cut emeralds from Zambia, positioned in a manner reminiscent of the geometric designs of the sculpted evergreens that make up the framework of the most beautiful Italian gardens.  Set in delicate platinum claws, diamonds surround the stones in a gentle embrace, creating a play of florid yet wonderfully light volumes.

From the festoons of the Roman caves: Blue Iridescence Necklace

Inspired by the festoons found in the Roman caves of the Domus aurea in the 16th century, the Blue Iridescence necklace shines by an extraordinary set of sapphires, painstakingly acquired by Bulgari from various parts of the world and patiently set aside for years in anticipation of this magic moment. The azure hue maintains colour and shine even in the dark, a bold choice to be set alongside pink spinels and diamonds, presenting the very piece that won Bulgari the Fine Art of High Jewelry and Timepieces Award.

From the symphony of the water fountains: Water Symphony Necklace

Inspired by the musicality of the Italian fountains, the Water Symphony necklace writes its music around a large central sapphire that is centre-pointed by a smaller sapphire. Adding to the sapphire’s vibrance is the rose window surrounding the stone, created by pear and brilliant cut diamonds and ribbons of baguettes repeated in a chain. The necklace can also be transformed into a brooch or bracelet, much like the fluidity of the water of the majestic fountains.
