The Bavarian automaker builds on the versatility of its BMW 3 Series, diversifying their portfolio with a new model that focuses on comfort with a long wheelbase variant

BMW has introduced its latest addition to its 3 Series with the 330Li M Sport, the automaker’s first locally assembled model in a long wheelbase variant. Vehicles with a longer wheelbase offers greater comfort and space.

The new mid-sized premium executive sedan is differentiated from the current 330i M Sport by its increased overall length of 4,819mm (+110mm) and wider wheelbase length of 2,961mm (+110mm). Its elegance is enhanced by a new dynamic silhouette design that is framed by a high-gloss shadow line and slight coupé-like roofline.

At the front, the kidney grilles of the 330Li M give off a sporty yet sophisticated design. The black struts are distinctively framed in chrome. Flanking the grilles are adaptive LED headlights that are capable of automatically adjusting to varying road conditions.

Under the hood, a four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo petrol engine powers the vehicle while the power is transmitted via a Steptronic Sport transmission. It is capable of a maximum output of 258HP and a peak torque of 400Nm. It can complete the century sprint in only 6.2 seconds, and has a top speed of 250 km/h. Meanwhile, fuel consumption is rated at 6.4 litres per 100km.

The interior features a modern ambience and luxurious design. It comes with trim finishes in Aluminium Tetragon with highlight trim finishes in Pearl Chrome. It is worth noting that there is an increase of 4mm in headroom and an additional 42mm legroom available for rear passengers for added comfort. 

Other highlights of the interior include an M leather steering wheel and M-specific pedals, velour floor mats, ambient lights with 11 predefined lighting designs, automatic air-conditioning with three-zone control, and a HiFi loudspeaker system.

You also get a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument display, as well as the BMW Navigation System Professional with 10.25-inch touch sensitive display. 

In addition, the 330Li M Sport comes standard with BMW’s driving assistant that features lane departure warning, lane change warning, front collision warning, cross traffic warning and rear collision prevention. Other conveniences include Cruise Control with braking function, Parking Assistant with rear view mirror, and the BMW Active Pedestrian Safety system. Also, if you ever find yourself in a pinch, rest assured that the vehicle’s Intelligent Emergency Call function enables you to get live assistance and support at all times.

Last but not least, if you have a lot of luggage to carry, that won’t pose a challenge for the 330Li M Sport as its boot space can hold 480 litres of cargo. The improved storage compartment also offers more stowage possibilities.

The new 330Li M Sport is available in two colour offerings Mineral White and Carbon Black. There is also an option for leather Vernasca upholstery in Mocha with black stitching to complement both the exterior colour offerings.
