The custom-built wristwatch is priced at US$8,050—but getting your hands on one will prove to be difficult

Porsche Design has this week revealed its latest timepiece—the Chronograph 911 GT3. While the sporty watch comes at a relatively accessible price point for the brand, it will only be offered to those who have purchased the new 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 vehicle.

The exclusive chronograph will be available in two main versions with dial rings available in either Black or Shark Blue. For clients in the US, UK, and Germany, customisation will go one step further thanks to the new Porsche Design Custom-Built Timepiece Program.

The basic model will feature an ornate design that’s equally sporty and business casual thanks to the high-tech titanium case and contrasting leather band. The hands and numbers, on the other hand, will come as a further nod to the classic Porsche design; coming decked out in white and yellow on a plain black background.

The Porsche Design caliber WERK 01.200 was further inspired by motorsports, featuring a flyback function that combines starting, stopping, and zeroing in a single operation—making it a great option for bringing to the track.

“What we are doing here is, without doubt, a revolution in the luxury watch segment,” Roland Heiler, managing director and head of the Porsche Design Studio said in an earlier statement. “I don’t remember ever seeing anything like this before.”

The Porsche Design Chronograph 911 GT3 will be available to purchase as soon as this spring—with delivery taking anywhere between eight to twelve weeks. Although the timepiece starts at US$8,050, purchases will be reserved for existing Porsche 911 GT3 clients.
