The LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier aims to resolve the dilemma of homemade or reusable masks being inconsistent and disposable masks being an unsustainable solution, while also offering next level filtration for modern living thanks to its two H13 HEPA filters, which are similar to the filters the company uses for its existing home air purifier products.
“The PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier is an exciting addition to our growing lineup of products designed to deliver meaningful health and hygiene benefits,” Dan Song, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company, said in a press release. “At a time when consumers are seeking ways to make life safer and more convenient, it’s important that we’re able to offer solutions that add measurable value.”
The high performance technology allows the PuriCare Wearable to supply fresh, carefully filtered air thanks to its dual fans and patented respiratory sensor. The ground breaking technology detects the cycle and volume of the wearer’s breath and adjusts the three-speed fans accordingly, which allows the wearer to receive the precise amount of air intake and appropriate slow down in resistance to make breathing as easy as it would be sans mask.
The ergonomic face mask may be designed with comfort in mind––allowing it to fit snugly on the wearer’s face while minimising air leakage around the nose and chin––but also comes equipped with UV-LED lights that help kill harmful germs on contact while further protecting the wearer from potential viruses.
