Boasting an extraordinary total frequency of 8Hz, the movement is housed in two different cases. First, the Aventador S Blue is crafted in C-SMC carbon that also forms Lamborghini cars. The colour blue appears on the bi-material strap, the rubber over-moulding on the case and crown, and the fluted carbon bezel.

Then there is the S Pink Gold and like its name suggests, boasts pink gold fluted bezel as well as pink gold indexes and hands. The black Alcantara strap is also lined with gold stitching.

Last year, Roger Dubuis collaborated with Pirelli, the tyre manufacturer for racing cars. The results are an automatic Excalibur Spider Skeleton and a double flying tourbillon option. This year, the Pirelli collection is expanded with an automatic in black titanium with a choice of deep blue or pristine white accents. Like their predecessors, the highlight is the strap, which features rubber inlays from the tyres of race cars triumphant in actual races on the top side, and a faithful reproduction of the tread motifs of Pirelli intermediate tyre on the other side.

Bulgari x Supercar Owners Circle

There may be many fans of supercars but the real owners and collectors of such automobiles belong to an exclusive club. And if you are one of those hardcore owners in this elite group, chances are you belong to the Supercar Owners Circle (SOC) that has been described as the greatest gathering of supercars and classics, where drivers get to experience the vehicles the way they were intended.

Previews of new releases from top automakers such as McLaren, Porsche, Lamborghini and Daimler, access to information and services as well as invitations to exclusive events around the world are some of the privileges accorded to members.

Earlier this month, Bulgari officially announced a three-year partnership with SOC in Milan where a gala dinner preceded a parade of supercars in the city and a visit to one of the largest private collections of exceptional cars owned by an SOC member.

The occasion also saw the unveiling of the Octo Tourbillon Sapphire SOC. Its credentials as an exclusive timepiece for SOC members include a powerhouse movement in the form of the skeleton Calibre BVL 206 fitted with a flying tourbillon, as well an entirely new case construction for Bulgari - black DLC titanium with a sapphire case middle. These are complemented with yellow gold hour markers and a crown adorned with the SOC logo. A 64-hour power reserve indicator is visible on the sapphire caseback.
