In the new Formula One season, Girard-Perregaux will be appearing alongside Aston Martin while Richard Mille lends support to Ferrari

The 2021 Formula One World Championship will kick off in Bahrain on March 26. Ahead of the new season in which Lewis Hamilton will be aiming for a record eighth world championship, Girard-Perregaux announced that it will be the Official Watch Partner of Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One Team. Making it even more significant is the fact that 2021 marks the return of Aston Martin to the Formula One racing circuit with a works team after a 20-year absence.

The two are historic brands in their respective fields, with Girard-Perregaux celebrating its 230th anniversary this year while Aston Martin is a pioneer in the modern sports car scene with its DB automobiles that gained icon status after appearing in the James Bond franchise. The partnership extends beyond the race track as Girard-Perragaux is also the Official Watch Partner of Aston Martin in general.

Another two legendary brands will be combining forces at Formula One this year—Scuderia Ferrari and Richard Mille. The multi-year deal also extends beyond the circuit to include support for the Ferrari Challenge and Esports as well as the Ferrari Driving Academy that trains budding race car drivers. Known for their obsession for fast cars, Richard Mille is no novice at Formula One, having previously signed a 10-year deal with McLaren Formula One Team in 2016.
