Blending maritime tradition and superlative craftsmanship, the Navetta 30 offers unprecedented luxury at sea

The Navetta 30 is like floating poetry. Another one of the superyachts from Italy’s Custom Line makes its way to Hong Kong this December, blending maritime tradition, natural materials and superlative craftsmanship. Charming and elegant, she makes an emphatic contemporary style statement.

The 28.43-metre Navetta 30 has a top speed of 14 knots and a range of 2,100 nautical miles when cruising at 10 knots, and has been fitted with stabilising fins and sea keepers, or gyroscopic stabilisers, for complete comfort at anchor. A brace of eco-friendly MANi-6 engines keep carbon dioxide and nitrogen dioxide emissions to a minimum.

The Navetta 30’s immense power bank is encased in a design of sheer beauty, with exteriors conjured up by Filippo Salvetti and interiors conceived by renowned architectural practice Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel.

The overall design incorporates elements that are as intriguing as they are original, ranging from the choice of natural materials such as leather, wood and rope, to the way it makes use of light. Throughout the Navetta 30 are numerous references to the circle as the perfect symbol; the design also hints at the rounded lines that characterised boats in the past, whether coracles or quinqueremes, while the custom design of the resin-film wall coating, consisting of quartz powder on glass fibre, is utterly 21st century.

The triple-decked Navetta 30 has five double cabins—with the master stateroom on the main deck and four guest cabins below—allowing up to 10 passengers to sail in considerable comfort.

Custom Line Atelier was involved in the interiors, completing the superyacht’s customised fittings and decorative elements. Interiors can be customised and imbued with personal touches to reflect owners’ personalities and distinctive aesthetic tastes, taking the Navetta 30 from a dazzling superyacht to a luxurious home at sea.

Most importantly, the design and concept focus strongly on uniqueness and exclusivity.

Big windows are set in the hull, decks boast more than two metres of headroom, and very generous areas in the stern and bow convey an immediate and peaceful sense of space.

The exterior spaces showcase a perfect parade of finishes and furnishing, enhancing the relaxed, convivial spaces on board.

The Navetta 30 is infused with light; great care was lavished on the lighting design from the very beginning. Ceiling units on each deck help create a balanced lighting system, working in parallel with other more focused sources to highlight objets d’art and delightful design quirks. Even regular fixtures like stairways and windows become an integral part of the lighting design, with illuminated details that establish a sense of balance and a clear relationship with the exteriors.

One of the Navetta 30’s most important attributes is the emphasis on fun and relaxation, elements that come to the fore on the sundeck. Divided into two areas, the deck hosts an outsize custom-made sofa, and a bar with seats facing the sea.
