Cover Can't wait for the release of AirPods 3? We break down what we know so far

It’s been reported that Apple is releasing AirPods 3 this September together with the new iPhone range

It was originally predicted that the new Apple AirPods 3 was going to be released in the first half of 2021 but a new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reveals that we may only need to wait until September for the release. The AirPods 3 is set to release together with the new iPhone range. The new product is also reported to look very different from its original 2016 design, with each product release following a similar design throughout.

While the design will be brand new, it'll adopt the design of the AirPods Pro in that the stem of the AirPods will be reduced in size. Despite taking on a similar design as the AirPods Pro, the functions will be different in some way.

The AirPods Pro’s well-loved noise cancellation feature will not be carried over to the AirPods 3 but instead, will include a new wireless chip that can help increase the range of the headphones. This will also help in switching quickly between devices as well as quickly pairing devices up.

The reports added that battery life will also improve. The AirPods 3 will adopt a pressure-relieving system, as seen in the AirPods Pro. It’s also highlighted in reports that the new AirPods is beginning production in August. While many are wondering about the price, it's been kept under wraps.

If Gurman’s report is true then we can expect that the AirPods 3 will be released during the company's annual event in September when it’s also predicted that the new iPhones will be revealed.

For now, keep your fingers crossed that you won’t have to wait long for the new AirPods 3.
