人稱龐克教母的英國設計師 Vivienne Westwood（薇薇安魏斯伍德）29 日於倫敦辭世享壽 81 歲，消息一出令許多人感到震驚與不捨，不過 Vivienne Westwood 的精神將永存你我心中。
Vivienne Westwood 身為英國最具代表性的設計師，結合本身英倫文化背景，將她獨有的龐克設計帶進時尚圈，自 80 年代開始便叱咤業界，不僅讓龐克文化成為眾人追隨的時尚風潮，相當關注政治、社會及環境議題的她，也經常透著服裝為相關議題發聲，甚至會親自走上街頭一同聲援社會運動。
不僅如此，Vivienne Westwood 於 1992 年獲得英國皇室所頒發的大英帝國最優秀勳章（OBE），2006 年更受英國女皇伊莉莎白二世冊封女爵士（Dame of the British Empire）頭銜，對時尚圈及英國都有著無可代替的地位。
而人稱龐克教母的 Vivienne Westwood 其實並非時尚科班出身，她於 70 年代橫空出世，在成為設計師前是一名國小老師，在這期間她不忘她的時尚夢，開了一個小攤販售自己創作的飾品，直到遇見摯愛也就是他的第二任丈夫 Malcolm McLaren。

兩人 1971 年合開了一間服飾店「Let it Rock」，而 McLaren 成為傳奇龐克樂團「Sex Pistols」經紀人後，樂團的造型幾乎都由 Vivienne Westwood 一手包辦，Vivienne Westwood 充滿叛逆風格的龐克設計在 Sex Pistols聲名大噪後，Vivienne Westwood 也開始展露頭角，從此踏上了她的傳奇時尚之路。
