更加惋惜的是，與其他同樣獲得這個獎項的設計師Gucci的創意總監Alessandro Michele及Jonathan Anderson一樣，Virgil Abloh在生前已錄好獲獎感言，在大屏幕上看到Abloh的畫面讓在場的眾人難過不已，他在視頻中說道：

除了被深切懷念的Virgil Abloh，其他「Leaders of Change」包括創意類別的Alessandro Michele、Demna Gvasalia、Kim Jones和Jonathan Anderson。在環境類別中，Stella McCartney、Gabriela Hearst、Priya Ahluwalia、Phoebe English 和 Bethany Williams 等人對可持續發展努力獲得認可。「人物People」類別獻給讓時尚成為更具包容性行業的創意人，包括英國版《Vogue》的主編 Edward Enninful、A-Cold-Wall 的 Samuel Ross、Harris Reed、Telfar Clemens 和 Grazia UK 的副主編 Kenya Hunt。
