American fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger culled from his experiences in the past 40-plus years in his career for his upcoming memoir entitled “American Dreamer.” The memoir chronicles personal stories from Hilfiger’s childhood and formative years, to the building of his multi-billion dollar global brand.

On the publishing of his memoir, the designer said: “It has been incredible to look back on the moments that have defined both my career and personal life... It’s an inspiring reminder of all the milestones we’ve surpassed, from our very first billboard in Times Square to bridging the gap between fashion and music.“

The cover art for “American Dreamer” was shot by photographer Richard Phibbs at the Fifth Avenue flagship store of Tommy Hilfiger in New York City. The memoir was written by Tommy Hilfiger in collaboration with Peter Knobler and will be published by Ballantine Books, an imprint of Random House, a division of Penguin Random House.
