The bold rugby shirts bearing the name of the soda drink was American fashion at its peak especially when the Coca-Cola gear was worn by hip-hop musicians and streetwear aficionados of the 1980s to 1990s.
Seen in music videos and a cameo as a Coca-Cola vest in the documentary “Paris is Burning”, the man behind this youthful line of frank branding is none other than designer Tommy Hilfiger who created the first collection in 1986.
The Tommy Jeans Coca-Cola Capsule collection is a blast from the past with the introduction of a special re-edition of the 1980s styles, in a campaign that captures the sepia look of vintage Coca-Cola ads.
By combining the logos of both Tommy Jeans and Coca-Cola, it’s apparent that the series consisting of tees, sweats, hoodies and rugby shirts do not hold back on its vibrant colour blocking of red and white shades that’s a mesh of sugary pop and pleasant nostalgia.
