Model and actress Alicia Amin is featured in our second Tatler Talks, this time with host Joe Zee, who checks in all the way from Los Angeles

Alicia Amin became a model when she was 15 but left soon after to further her studies in Australia. When she returned to Malaysia, she wanted to reboot her modelling career but knew that having been out of sight for a couple of years meant she would have to start all over again. Coincidentally, auditions were on for Asia's Next Top Model Cycle 5. She joined the cast, eventually becoming a finalist on the reality modelling competition show. The rest, as they like to say, is history. Today, the 25-year-old is one of the hottest models in Malaysia, complete with a personality and bravado that make her much more than a pretty face.

Indeed, as stunning as she looks in pictures, she is even more compelling in person—warm, authentic, unafraid to speak her mind. Put it simply, Alicia is a supremely confident young woman. This side of her comes into razor sharp focus during a conversation via Zoom between her and Joe Zee, former creative director of Elle US and current global artistic director for Tatler Asia Group.

The two hit it off immediately, not letting the high energy wane as they cover a variety of topics from curating the Tatler Asia Most Stylish list comprising more than 100 personalities from diverse backgrounds across Asia to navigating the competitive fashion industry and cyberbullying.
