What can one expect from Burberry's chief creative officer, Riccardo Tisci's first collection, post-lockdown?

Hues of orange, blue and motifs inspired by a love story between a mermaid and a shark apparently, where Tisci presents a contemporary fairytale in the deep ocean in which love blooms. The collection was conceptualised when Tisci spent his months in lockdown at Italy's Lake Como with his family, where he incorporated feelings of loneliness and freedom that many had experienced during the quarantine period.

The end result is truly stunning; a collection that reflected the times. Comprising menswear and womenswear, standout pieces from the collection feature beautiful pleating, carefully constructed silhouettes and vibrant prints to excite Burberry fans.

Tatler friends such as Tina Cheng, Joyce Ang, Kelly Keak and more were present at a special event last week where they got to preview the collection at the brand's Ion boutique.

They enjoyed a presentation by fashion stylist Furqan Saini on the ways to style the playful collection—with flutes of champagne in hand, of course.
