From store openings to Tatler Ball, Valentino Garavani’s creations have graced Hong Kong's most elegant women for decades. As we mourn the loss of the legendary designer at 93, we celebrate his lasting influence through the Tatler community who wore his creations
Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani died on Monday at age 93 at his residence in Rome, surrounded by loved ones. For nearly five decades before his 2008 retirement, Valentino defined elegance with his impeccable tailoring, romantic silhouettes and signature red that became synonymous with glamour itself. In Hong Kong, his influence ran deep—from philanthropists at charity galas to business leaders at landmark events. The women of our community understood that his pieces were expressions of confidence and femininity. Here, we honour his legacy through the Tatler women who chose Valentino for their special moments.
