Stylish mom of twins Sena Wakabayashi is no stranger to luxury and travel, being a trusted stylist and frequent visitor of Bali and Tokyo. Combining her love of both, she shares with us her favourite pieces from Moda Operandi's Resort Trunk Show that she'll be taking on her travels this summer.

Moda Operandi Focus
How would you describe your personal style?
I love beautiful design, so the texture or cutting of material, or my pairing of items always has a sense of design. I would say that it is also quite uniform. I know what I like very clearly and am loyal to what I love.
When do you shop for yourself? Do you shop for clients the same time you shop for yourself?
I shop for myself the most actively and consciously when I travel. While I enjoy shopping online and it's certainly the most convenient option, I love a good physical retail experience so I love to browse boutiques on my travels. And yes, I inevitably end up adding things for myself when shopping for my clients!

You split your time Hong Kong, Bali and Tokyo, how do you pack for each city?
Between these two cities, it is really quite simple, and my outfits are virtually the same, as my lifestyles in Tokyo and Hong Kong are quite similar. The only difference is usually the weather.
So it is just about a temperature check! Bali however, is a completely different vibe and experience while I am there, so I usually have an entirely separate “Bali section” of my closet to pack from. This is basically all of my resort wear like a good raffia sandal or easy flared pants from Moda Operandi. I have started to leave many of my items at the house now.

You’re currently in Bali right now, what do you usually wear on a typical day in Bali?
On a typical day at the villa, I will usually wear a swimsuit and some sort of kaftan or cover up so that I am swimming ready for when I have the urge to dive in, or more likely, when the twins are ready to jump in!

Resort wear must be a big part of your wardrobe, as you split your time between Hong Kong and Bali. What are pieces you constantly look to buy from season after season?
I am not a huge traditional bathing suit and cover up person. But I need this function for sure, which is why I find a lot of pieces from Moda Operandi which have the perfect mix of resort and beach wear. I usually end up looking for pieces that can work well with a one piece suit or bikini, as well as something I can wear to lunch without looking like I have just walked off the beach. I love white for resort wear and black of course, but I try to find black pieces that dont feel heavy in the heat.
