Vinn Patararin, a designer brand making waves in the Thai fashion scene, shares the story behind its journey, creative inspirations, and the evolving direction of the brand behind its growing success
As summer arrives, we had a chance to meet Vinn 'Champ' Chokkhatiwat and Fon Patararin Pongprasit; the designer (and Tatler Gen.T 2025!) duo, a longtime friends behind Vinn Patararin which has become one of Thailand’s most anticipated fashion brands today. From exhibiting at New York Fashion Week to their recent collaboration with The Society in Phuket, each milestone reflects their distinct vision, evolving design philosophy, and strong creative identity.
In an exclusive conversation with Tatler, the two share the creative vision which shaped their work, the brand’s growth journey, and their commitment to driving Thai fashion forward in a meaningful and sustainable way.

Can you tell us a bit about what you have been working on lately
Currently, we are focusing on two major projects. The first is a special collaboration with The Society, a social space located in the heart of Cherngtalay - Bangtao, Phuket under the theme called “Mystic Sunset”. Taking inspiration from Phuket’s magical ‘Golden Hour’, this lifestyle collection captures the fun and relaxed ambiance of this specific moment.
The collection consists of a diverse range of items, varied from caps (the first time the brand has ever made), scarves designed for both people and pets, picnics mats to use in outdoor to casual T-shirts suited for lounging, and even formal evening dresses. One notable highlight is our signature monogram that blends the Vinn Patararin logo with The Society’s. What’s more, we have just launched our Summer collection, which marks as the second major project we’re focusing on right now.
Any newness and exciting for the SS25 collection
Our “Summer Secret” collection features the brand’s first exploration into knitwear, which is designed with a hint of sensuality essence for everyday wear. One standout piece is a knit tank top that features the brand’s signature flare detailing, together with open-back knit pieces where the waist is emphasized for a seductive yet effortless look.
Besides, our lightweight balloon skirt for summer wear also features laser-cut techniques that add up-to a fresh dimension and texture. The color palette mainly reflects the hues of Bangkok inspired by our previous “One Night in Bangkok” collection from New York Fashion Week. This time, the collection fully brings runway pieces into real wardrobes for the first time.
Can you tell us more about collaboration with Sansiri? How do you choose your collaboration projects, and is there any piece or project that has particularly impressed you so far
Every collaboration is exciting for us because it gives us the opportunity to create new experiences for our audience and expand the brand’s community. We believe collaborations help us understand mutual learning and encourage the creation of new cultural narratives as well.
At Vinn Patararin, we always look for partners who share a similar vision and value lifestyle, art, and community. Sansiri also aligns perfectly with these values, which elevates the “Sansiri Phuket + Vinn Patararin” project to an inspiring connection between us.
One particularly memorable project was “One Day in New York”—our first international collaboration ever. The goal of the project was to explore how New Yorkers, including photographers, influencers, bloggers, would interpret and style Vinn Patararin pieces in their everyday lives. Thanks to this project, we have found a new perspective on design and how our clothes fit into different environments.

What has been the most significant milestone or meaningful journey for Vinn Patararin so far
We have recently started our new roles as Thai designers on the global stage, bringing the essence and storytelling of Bangkok to an international audience with our ‘One Night in Bangkok' show at New York Fashion Week where we showcase a contemporary perspective of our brand’s signature DNA. All 10 looks in this special collection blend playful yet beautiful aesthetics with fun silhouettes to capture the story of Bangkok’s nightlife, so that New Yorkers can experience it together during the show.
We reinterpreted one of the standout techniques, laser cut, on vegan leather to raise awareness on sustainability and environmental concerns, taking the inspiration from our previous “Le Panier” collection. This journey isn’t just about stepping outside our comfort zone, it is about elevating our craft and positioning Thai fashion on the world stage.
Looking ahead, how do you see Vinn Patararin’s position in the future of fashion
Our presence in New York has grown noticeably over the past two years, where Hollywood celebrities like SZA, Timothée Chalamet, and the K-pop group SEVENTEEN are wearing our designs. Since our fan base and brand recognition continuously expand to a point where we are invited to join the official New York Fashion Week schedule, this is truly a milestone that appreciates the positive responses and the growing community reflecting on our work. We believe this will be a key destination for our brand and now, we are planning to host pop-up stores in New York every three months.
