From dramatic frocks to dapper suits, Billy Porter, Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and more showed off their effortless style at the 92nd Academy Awards
1. Spike Lee in custom Gucci
Film director Spike Lee took the opportunity to pay tribute to the late Kobe Bryant in a purple-and-gold custom Gucci suit, the colours of the Los Angeles Lakers. The suit was also adorned with the number "24"—Bryant's iconic number—on his front lapels, which he called “tribute, honour, and homage.” Lee completed his look with a pair of Nike Kobe 9 Elite "Strategy" sneakers, purple-rimmed glasses and a hat.

2. Adam Driver in Burberry
Keeping it classy, Adam Driver suited up in a custom Burberry black wool mohair English-fit tuxedo, worn with a white cotton piqué-bib dress shirt with black onyx shirt studs and cuff links. He wore the look with a black grosgrain bow tie and black patent leather derby shoes, designed by Burberry chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci.

3. Billy Porter in custom Giles Deacon
Billy Porter adores the spotlight on a Hollywood red carpet. For the Oscars this year, he stunned in a gold ensemble. Sporting a 24-karat gold-foiled feathered top with a billowing printed silk skirt, the look is said to be inspired by the Cupola Room at the Kensington Palace, London. He completed the look with custom Jimmy Choo boots in gold and gems from Atelier Swarovski.
4. Brad Pitt in Brioni
Brad Pitt may be no stranger to the red carpet, but today’s was a significant one, marking his first acting Oscar. For his Best Actor in a Supporting Role win, Pitt turned to the classics in a black velvet tuxedo jacket with bow tie and tailored black pants from Brioni, styled with a white dress shirt and black dress shoes. He accessorised with Fred Leighton jewels.
5. John Cho in Ermenegildo Zegna XXX
A terracotta tux—with an off-centre button—styled with a black shirt may sound like the recipe for a fashion disaster, but John Cho manages to look flawlessly dapper in his couture Zegna ensemble.
6. Leonardo DiCaprio in Giorgio Armani
Turning to the classics, Leonardo DiCaprio graced the red carpet in a midnight blue one-button peak lapel suit from Giorgio Armani and Christian Louboutin shoes—the same designers he wore during his first Oscar win for The Revenant. He completed the outfit with a white dress shirt, black bow-tie, and David Yurman cuff links in 18-karat gold.
7. Brad Goreski in Alexander McQueen
Brad Goreski shows us how to stand out at a black-tie event, without breaking the dress code. The celebrity stylist and TV personality brought on the bling with an embellished black tux from Alexander McQueen, worn with a black bow tie, glossy shoes from Louboutin Homme, and jewels by Cartier.

8. Rami Malek in Saint Laurent
Presenting at the Oscars this year, Rami Malek was sleek in a black-on-black Saint Laurent look—a double-breasted tuxedo jacket and pants, shirt, and bow tie. He accessorised with a watch from Cartier and glossy dress shoes.
9. Keanu Reeves in Dolce & Gabbana
Hollywood favourite Keanu Reeves can do no wrong—especially when he twins with his date—his mother, Patricia Taylor—in monochromatic Dolce & Gabbana suits. The actor, who is presenting at the event, matched his mother’s white suit with a three-piece black suit and bow-tie, worn with a crisp white shirt—classic and timeless.
10. Mahershala Ali in Ermenegildo Zegna XXX
Opting for an infallible all-black ensemble, Mahershala Ali was effortlessly stylish at the Oscars in an Ermenegildo Zegna suit worn with a black shirt and bow tie. He amped up the cool factor with a silver necklace and cufflinks from David Yurman, and an Omega watch.
11. Timothée Chalamet in Prada
Timothée Chalamet’s unexpected look may have left fans divided—some described his look as “gas station manager”—but the young actor definitely deserves a mention for his unique sense of fashion. Chalamet, who styled himself, opted for an athleisure, zip-up two-piece from Prada and glammed it up with a Cartier brooch.
