Gherardo Felloni joined Roger Vivier this March, and has since given the heritage brand a spin
Gherardo Felloni hails from Miu Miu, where he served as the creative director of footwear since 2014, and has also worked at Christian Dior under John Galliano and Raf Simons
While spring/summer 2019 will be his debut collection, we’ve seen his new handbags, sneakers and heels sprinkled across the Roger Vivier stores already. We take a deeper dive to explore what's to come from Felloni's debut collection for the French maison:
1. A brand new logo
New logos have been instrumental in building new brand identities—just look at Celine and Burberry—and Felloni has taken this chance to modernised the cursive Roger Vivier logo and opted for an all-caps logo in a bold san serif font, which has refreshed soles of shoes, and even the shoe boxes.
Although not completely eschewing the cursive logo (it remains on some of the brand’s classic styles), the new logo has been adopted on ballerina flats, sneakers and smoking slippers.
