The Parisian luxury house enlists the region’s stylish set to champion their new La’Bel Box Clutches, partnering with charity The New Hope Foundation

At the Roger Vivier Spring/Summer 2018 collection preview in Paris in October last year, there were a few styles that caught my attention, one of them being a red box clutch that mimicked the brand’s iconic shoe box. When it came to footwear, I also noticed pointed slip-on mules with lace-up ankle details in black and red—an edgy and daring departure from the brand’s classic red-carpet-friendly pilgrim-buckle heels.

As it turns out, this collection is a worldwide exclusive to Hong Kong, and will be available in stores this month.

To celebrate the new season launch, the French house has enlisted the help of the region’s stylish set including award-winning actress Sammi Cheng, style icon Hilary Tsui, Taiwanese cellist and fashion darling, Nana Ouyang and myself to showcase a series of five products from Roger Vivier’s La’Bel collection with a series of photographs and videos, which will be on display at their Elements boutique from April 9 to 22.

The special project has a charitable component as well; proceeds of the 50 worldwide limited La’Bel Box clutches will be donated to the New Hope Foundation, an organisation that helps physically-handicapped orphans in China.

“I have always had a soft spot for charities that support children and orphans,” Catherine Ku, the brand’s Head of Communications and Marketing stated. “New Hope Foundation helps physically-handicapped orphans by giving them the reconstructive surgeries that they need which increases their chances of adoption, and by that, ultimately giving them a second chance at life. I’ve been truly touched by their efforts and thought it would be a perfect organisation to support.”

Since its inception over 17 years ago, the New Hope Foundation has built six special care units spread across Beijing and Henan in China, and has helped over 2,500 orphans.
