Tatler Singapore unveiled Ralph Lauren Purple Label’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection with a styling workshop for longtime fans of the iconic brand

There’s a new fashion buzzword that’s on everyone’s lips these days. It’s unmissable but discreet, refined but relaxed, muted but speaks volumes–it’s ‘quiet luxury’.

When it comes to looking and dressing the part, it doesn’t get more luxurious than Ralph Lauren. An enduring symbol of classic American glamour, the brand has become the go-to for the upper echelons of fashion–think red carpet regulars, high society members, and the wealthy elite.

And then there’s Ralph Lauren Purple Label, which takes luxury to a whole new level. The brand’s most exclusive and premium line brings together fine Italian craftsmanship and ultra plush fabrics to create timeless wardrobe favourites.

Tatler Singapore recently hosted a styling workshop to unveil Ralph Lauren Purple Label’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection to a select few of our community members. The event was an intimate one, set amidst the plush surroundings of the Ralph Lauren Purple Label boutique at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

Helming the workshop was Tatler Singapore’s Branded Content Editor and resident fashion expert, Adriel Chiun, who regaled guests with his witty repartee and styling tips. A total of eight stunning looks from the collection were presented as models slowly made their way around the boutique to allow guests a closer look. Standout pieces of the evening included a sleek floor-length turtleneck gown for the ladies, and an impeccably-tailored double-breasted suit for gents.

Ralph Lauren Purple Label may be synonymous with sophistication but the versatile collection also offered more casual options such as linen shirts, cable-knit sweaters, camel overcoats, and trench coats–all the essentials one would need for a vacation-ready capsule wardrobe.

Chiun also showed guests how to elevate their looks with the right accessories. The arm candy of choice? The RL888 handbag, which gets its moniker from Ralph Lauren's New York flagship store at 888 Madison Avenue. Exquisitely crafted by skilled artisans in Florence, Italy, the bag features defined angles and dramatic curves inspired by New York’s architecture. It also comes in three distinct styles–crossbody, top handle, and mini crossbody chain.

Another favourite of our Branded Content Editor’s was the Wellington: a chic crossbody bag that celebrates Ralph Lauren's equestrian heritage with a polished stirrup buckle. Chiun paired the bag with a checked jumpsuit and a herringbone blazer to create a look that whispered ‘quiet luxury’ the Ralph Lauren way.

Following the styling workshop, it was time for food–and coffee. Southeast Asia Cafe Manager of Ralph’s Coffee, Alex, took over the hosting duties to share more about the history of the café, as well as menu highlights to try such as the Singapore-exclusive Ralph’s Coffee Soft Serve and Pineapple Shaken tea.

As the evening wound down, guests took the opportunity to explore and shop the Fall/Winter 2023 collection, while sampling coffees and snacks from Ralph’s Coffee. Fashion and food, as it turns out, make a great pair.
