The Miss Universe 2015 shines in her debut appearance at the Cannes Film Festival
Pia Wurtzbach Jauncey may add another title under her belt—best dressed at the 76th annual Cannes film festival!
The Miss Universe 2015 has finally walked the red carpet of the esteemed international festival, and she looked stunning while doing so. For her debut appearance, she attended the Le Retour (Homecoming) film screening at Palais des Festivals on May 17. She returned the following day for the initial screening of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

Tatler talked with the renowned Filipino designer Mark Bumgarner about the process of designing Pia’s outfits. “I have always loved dressing up Pia, she’s the most easy to work with,” he says. “I had a few days to create this look. She only had one fitting for this dress since she had to leave early before Cannes. Her one and only fitting we knew it was the dress for the red carpet.”
Wurtzbach donned a metallic scarlet evening gown with a sculptural silhouette partnered with minimal yet glam makeup and APM Monaco jewellery. “I wanted her dress to look like liquid metal, fluid but structured, something that would reflect light and illuminate,” Bumgarner says about the dress.
