What is quintessentially Philipp Plein? Studs, leather, crystals—the extravagant-meets-edgy brand is unbridled and bold, and is much loved by fans for that. In a private event held in Philipp Plein's first store in Southeast Asia, a two-storey duplex in The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, fashion director Desmond Lim showed our Singapore Tatler friends how these classic Philipp Plein rock ‘n’ roll elements can be wearable.
In a fashion workshop, coupled with a fashion show, our guests were taught several style tricks: how to layer a jacket on another jacket for both men and women (for example, a cropped tweed bomber jacket over a one-button blazer), the art of turning two belts into a corset, as well as tips for ladies on how to wear fishnet hosiery for both night and day. And like any Philipp Plein event, it sure was a party too.
