Rihanna: 9 Powerful Fashion Moments We're Still Obsessed With
Rihanna has poise, powerful vocals, and looks that can make anybody swoon in a snap! In this article, Tatler lists her most iconic looks.
Rihanna has been away from the music scene since she dropped ANTI, one of the best pop albums that the world has heard in 2016. Off the stage and behind the blinding spotlight, the empowered Barbadian singer tirelessly works on her successful beauty and fashion brand Fenty.
With all the projects and the crafts she has produced over the years, Rihanna needs to prove nothing more. But there are days when her fans (the Navy!) miss her. In this article, Tatler joins them in waiting for her return to the music industry.
We have listed some of Riri's most powerful looks below:
Stunning In Black
People always say that every woman should have a little black dress in her wardrobe, but they did not say what to pair it with. For Rihanna, her crystal-embellished Oscar de la Renta strapless dress should be worn with thigh-high boots covered in floral appliqués.
Pretty In Pink
This is how the fairy godmother would look like if she attended the ball instead of Cinderella. In 2017, Rihanna was in the premiere of Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets wearing her pink Giambattista Valli Couture dress, custom Manolo Blahnik shoes, and Chopard jewellery.
Denim All Over
Gracious In White
Rihanna knows how to look like the meticulous lady boss who could give a glare that launches a thousand ships. In 2019, Riri was seen in Paris wearing a white utilitarian wide-leg jumpsuit (from Virgil Abloh's debut Louis Vuttion collection), a pair of killer pumps, angular sunglasses and three bags for the Vuitton show in Paris.

Noble In Purple
Riri has been slaying with all her killer outfits! During the 51st National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Rihanna accepted her award in a vibrant ruffled purple dress.
While accepting the President Award, the Fenty CEO called for unity to fight inequality. “I’m lucky I was able to start the Clara Lionel Foundation in 2012. And if there’s anything that I’ve learned, it’s that we can only fix this world together,” Rihanna said. “We can’t do it divided. I cannot emphasise that enough. We can’t let the de-sensitivity seep in. The, ‘If it’s your problem, then it’s not mine; it’s a woman’s problem; it’s a black people problem; it’s a poor people problem.’”
“I mean, how many of us in this room have colleagues and partners and friends from other races, sexes, religions? Show of hands. Well, they want to break bread with you, right? Do they like you? Well, then this is their problem too. So when we’re marching and protesting and posting about the Michael Brown Jrs and Atatiana Jeffersons of the world, tell your friends to pull up.”
“I just want to shout out all the big black girls I bring onstage with me. I do that because I want them to know they are the trophies. Since this is the final award of the night, I don’t even want to make it about me. Every last one of you: You are the award. We are so special. We are such beautiful people. This is just a reminder of all the incredible things that we can do,” the pop star continued.
How Rihanna Stole Christmas
Hello? Is PETA here? Riri just stripped The Grinch's fur! In 2015, Rihanna rocked the iHeartRadio Music Awards in her green fur coat, boots, sunglasses and choker with a custom Adam Selman dress.
