Intended to invoke feelings of homecoming during the festive period, the campaign captures the spirit of the holidays through its depiction of cosy and homely scenes––with the addition of dogs almost distracting our attention away from the selection of products––from time-tested classics to fashion-forward pieces and seasonal designs that are perfect for gifting.

Not strictly a holiday campaign, but a fashion campaign that puts pets in the spotlight––all for a very worthy cause––is Balenciaga's I Love Pets Capsule Collection, created in support of animal rescue services.

The capsule collection is made up of  t-shirts, hoodies, bags, and jewellery, with 10 per cent of the proceeds donated to La SPA, France’s most prominent animal protection charity. Going beyond the donations, the collection not only features rescued pets owned by Balenciaga employees, but also includes a phone number that takes callers to a hotline Balenciaga has set up to offer advice about adopting pets from shelters. A web address, also printed on most capsule items, leads to a retro-style homepage designed to raise awareness of the plight of abandoned animals, including options for hopeful pet owners.
