Are these the new faces of Instagram? To Celebrate National Puppy Day, we are celebrating the most stylish dogs who have bridged both fashion influencing and #DogsOfInstagram

What started as a trend of putting small dogs in tiny onesies in the early '00s has birthed a new brand of influencer that, for once, does not divide any opinions. Take a break from the monotony of mirror selfies, unboxing stories and pseudo-intellectual takes on how the pandemic has impacted the fashion industry with these new faces of Instagram fashion.

1. Bodhi, The Menswear Dog

One of the original dog-fluencers, this stylish Shiba Inu has been busy since he was discovered in 2013. Over the years, Bodhi has appeared in campaigns for the most sophisticated of menswear fashion labels, including Jimmy Choo, Stuart Weitzman and Brooks Brothers. But his Instagram feed reveals his versatility as a fashion model and dog-fluencer, where he shows off his out-of-office outfits in casual Hawaiian print shirts and trendy streetwear pieces.

Yena Kim, his owner, stylist and former fashion designer at Ralph Lauren, shares the secret to Bodhi's immaculate model shots—a spoonful of peanut butter.

Unfortunately for the #GirlfriendsOfInstagram, dressing up their boyfriends is not as easy as that, so they will just have to continue sending screenshots of Bodhi's ensembles with the message: "Why can't you dress more like this?"

2. Boobie Billie

Is it really a fashion It-bag without Boobie Billie's seal of approval? Jacquemus, Prada, Fendi—the stylish chihuahua has been spotted with the most coveted, sold-out bags over the years. With her monochromatic outfits and witty captions, it is no wonder that this sassy style icon has amassed up to 278k followers on Instagram since the start of her influencer career.

And she has recently taken the next step in the influencer career progression path: merch! Offering late '90s and early '00s style handbags and scarves in bright green zebra stripes and cow print, her fashion line, Boobies World, caters to all her fans—lovingly named Boobie's bb's—desperate to recreate her looks.

3. Tika The Iggy

This fashionable greyhound shot to fame when her hilariously relatable 'Love It, Couldn't Wear It' video went viral on TikTok, where she showed off a series of outfits that didn't make it outside because of the pandemic lockdown. Since then, she has been staging digital fashion shows and serving looks. When she's feeling charitable, the Montreal-based pup also takes the time to meet her super-fans, including professional ice-hockey player for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Zach Aston-Reese.

Sometimes, Tika also shares the spotlight with her fellow greyhound friends: Honey, Meeko and Ripley.

4. Mini, Gigi and Shelby

Pink is this family of French bulldogs' favourite colour. Mini, Gigi and Shelby love bold prints on harnesses, tutus, glittery bows and small designer bags.

5. Mont Jiro

All of this chihuahua's outfits are lovingly handmade by his owner! Cowboy hats, fall knits, Japanese kimonos—Montjiro has been building a strong portfolio of looks to delight his 19.2k fans on Instagram.

If you're lucky, you may be able to see Mont Jiro in full glam roaming in the streets of Tokyo but it seems that the fashionable pup has taken to staying indoors, with good bottles of Japanese whisky and sake that are almost as tall as him. How relatable!
