We're sole-d: these local boutiques bring you the ultimate shoe-shopping experience online during lockdown.
While we may miss the thrill of in-person shoe shopping and the joy of trying on several pairs of heels at the store, the new normal for shoe addicts may yet present a different kind of fun, with local designers and brands making themselves more accessible than ever to customers both offline and online and adapting creatively to the challenges of a lockdown. Give these luxe shoe purveyors a try when you're next in the mood for some online retail therapy.
1. Feith
In December 2019, Feith London opened its first store at Fahrenheit 88, Kuala Lumpur, delighting shoppers with its rose-hued interiors and floral cues. If you're missing browsing through Feith's delicate ballerina flats and espadrilles imported straight from Europe, the boutique is ready to assist even during the NRP. Feith London recently introduced a 'Private Fitting' feature for clientele residing in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.
Over WhatsApp, clients can describe what they're looking for in a pair of shoes as well key details like their shoe size and other requirements.
"We love speaking with clients over the phone basically to have this whole conversation about their feet," quips Feith London director Wenfei Teh. "We get a feel of what they like and based off that, we compile about nine to ten pairs of shoes to send directly to their homes to try on."
