Hong Kong’s pride and joy from the 2021 Tokyo Olympics will represent the French fashion house

It’s been a phenomenal year for Edgar Cheung Ka Long, who won Hong Kong’s first gold medal in fencing and second Olympic gold medal of all time in the men’s individual foil in July.

The 24 year old will pivot from fencing to fashion, as he was recently chosen by Dior to represent the brand as an ambassador based on his excellent performance in the games and his pursuit to be the world’s best.

“You have to have a dream before you can make it come true. A dream is a vision that can bring out your passion and determination,” Cheung said.

Both Cheung and Dior share similar views. Christian Dior himself once said: “Chance always comes to the aid of those who really want something”. And so the French house welcomes his enthusiasm and eagerness to succeed.
