From custom corsets to Y2K denim, explore how Olivia Rodrigo uses stage fashion to define her live performances
Concert fashion has become a big part of how artists bring their music to life onstage. From archival designer pieces and vintage finds to streetwear and pop-culture references, what performers wear can be just as memorable as the songs themselves. On major tours, outfits help capture the mood of different music eras, give fans a visual connection to the setlist and create moments that live on in photos and videos long after the show ends. They also need to work for the demands of performing, allowing artists to move freely, change quickly and command attention across huge venues. Olivia Rodrigo’s Unraveled Tour wardrobe brings these elements together, with distinctive silhouettes, alternative fashion influences and practical stagewear that reflect the different moods of her performances.
What is Olivia Rodrigo’s Unraveled Tour?
Olivia Rodrigo’s Unraveled Tour supports her album You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So In Love, bringing its songs to the stage through a live production that combines music, fashion and visual storytelling. The show’s styling draws on ’90s alternative fashion, Y2K staples and classic rock-inspired silhouettes, with outfit changes reflecting the different moods of the setlist. Together, the wardrobe and stage presentation give the tour a distinct visual identity while keeping the focus on Rodrigo’s performances.
A central narrative element of the tour’s visual presentation is its four-seasons thematic arc. The setlist and stage aesthetics transition through distinct atmospheric phases—Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter—each represented by tailored wardrobe styling paired with specific tracks.

A custom Dilara Findikoglu white mini dress constructed with delicate lace trims, puffed shoulder details and a layered ruffled hemline. The garment synthesises coquette and indie-sleaze influences with Victorian-inspired underwear-as-outerwear detailing. Built specifically for live performance, the hyper-short silhouette features a fitted bodice and lightweight, fluid layering designed to allow maximum physical movement during high-energy choreography. Rodrigo wears this look to open the show’s Spring segment, performing tracks including “Drop Dead,” “U + Me = <3,” and “So American”.

Styled by Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo, this outfit pairs a white cropped V-neck top featuring a subtle graphic print with high-waisted hot pink satin shorts, a silver studded belt and fishnet tights. The ensemble references classic pop-punk stage wear through bright colour blocking. Rodrigo wears this ensemble during the Summer segment of the show, performing upbeat hits such as “My Way,” “Serena Joy,” “Bad Idea Right?” and “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl”.
Fall: Purple satin square-neck mini dress

An R&M Leathers deep purple satin dress featuring short puff sleeves, a structured square neckline and an integrated black choker accessory. Custom-designed for stage performance, the garment synthesises mid-nineties gothic romance and alternative grunge aesthetics. Rodrigo wears the look during the Fall segment of the show, performing track favorites including “Stupid Song,” “Maggots for Brains,” “Traitor,” and “Cigarette Smoke”. The deep jewel-tone satin offers a stark visual contrast when set against the show’s dark floral stage installations and moody lighting setups. Tailored to allow full movement while playing instruments during acoustic sections, the piece balances vintage subcultural references with modern arena-scale visibility.
Winter: Melting ‘Unraveled’ dress

Created by designer Hussein Chalayan in collaboration with stylists Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo, this garment features a structured red corset with a sweetheart neckline and short skirt.
The concept behind the piece traces back to Chalayan’s Spring 2016 Paris Fashion Week presentation. In that show, two models stood beneath an overhead shower installation as streams of water dissolved their tailored white coats into delicate, embroidered dresses beneath. Reimagining this technical performance art for the stadium stage, Chalayan created an outer layer made of a specialized water-soluble white paper dress.
During the live performance of “The Cure”—the track that earned “Best Alternative” at the 2026 VMAs—an onstage artificial rainfall apparatus drenches the garment. As the water hits the paper, the minimalist white dress dissolves live in front of the audience, revealing the vibrant red corset beneath. The visual transformation serves as a direct mirror to the song's thematic progression, translating vulnerability into strength through wearable technology and live performance design.

The look draws directly from late nineties and early 2000s off-duty pop and rock outfits, prioritizing mobility for high-energy segments. Rodrigo wears this look during the concert’s Spring-themed encore, closing out the show with “Deja Vu,” “All-American Bitch,” and “Expectations”.
