South Korean girl group NewJeans’ fast rise to the top is one for the history books. Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein have broken barriers and set the standard amongst their fellow fourth-generation musicians in the country. Most people will attribute their success to their talents and skills, perhaps also to the creative genius of art director and ADOR chief executive officer Min Hee-jin, but many will agree that their girl-next-door image and musical stylings reminiscent of the 1990s and 2000s are what set them apart from their peers.
Haerin, in particular, stands out with her refreshing next-door neighbour archetype, which has garnered the attention of major brands like Dior, leading to her appointment as an ambassador. Her foray into the fashion industry has spurred her to experiment with trends and aesthetics, both independently and with her team, significantly enhancing her fashion sense.
In an interview with the Asia Artist Awards this year, the singer shared how 2023 allowed them to show different sides of themselves, communicating more with their fans called bunnies. “Now that a new year has begun, there are still many sides of us to show,” she adds. Haerin has indeed expressed herself in myriad ways, not just through music but also through her clothing—a journey worth keeping up-to-date on.

On September 1, 2023, 24 contemporary Korean artists came together to reimagine the iconic Lady Dior handbag through the “Lady Dior Celebration” event at Seongsu. Naturally, a Dior event of this magnitude wouldn’t be complete without the presence of artists and ambassadors—one of which is Haerin in her own Dior ensemble. She went for the classics, wearing a short Belted Shirt Dress, C’est Dior Pumps, and a Small Lady D-Joy Bag.
Haerin joined Blackpink’s Jisoo, BTS’ Jimin, EXO’s Sehun, and ASTRO’s Cha Eun-woo in April 2023 and was named Dior house ambassador for jewellery, fashion, and beauty.
