In the mood for shopping? A new arsenal of stores have opened up just in time for a hot, summertime retail love-affair.

1. AW LAB

It was the answer to every prayer of sneakerheads, athleisure connoisseurs and fitfluencers when Italian purveyor of multi-label sports retail, AW LAB, launched its first Malaysian flagship store in KLCC. The streetwear specialist, known to carry exclusives from adidas, Nike, Reebok and Puma, to global favorites Vans, Kappa and Superga, is also home to local streetstyle labels Down Up and Two of A Kind. Covering a stretch of 2 lots, its punchy offerings are slated to expand to a second outlet later this year.

2. Blancpain

The Swiss brand synonymous with traditional watchmaking has opened its first Malaysian store in KLCC. Covering 84 sqm, the boutique houses an extensive collection of Blancpain timepieces boasting innovative in-house movements, ranging from the classic Villeret to the more symbolic Fifty Fathoms. Clients will be transported into the warm interior of polished cherry woodwork, carved moldings, and guided through a shopping experience led by a Blancpain bespoke service.

3. Chanel Ephemeral

Whilst the Chanel KLCC store undergoes a revamp in preparation for relaunch in November, a Chanel ephemeral boutique takes its place in a stand-alone space not far from the original venue. A series of 4 collections is slated for installation at the pop-up, which features an iridescent rainbow interior; hints of gold and silver meet cloudy aqua prints, upon a backdrop of faint green and soft pink, to achieve an understated modern ambiance.

4. Sulwhasoo

Following its first stand-alone in Sunway Pyramid, Sulwhasoo has launched a second outlet at Mid Valley Megamall. The outlet boasts over 600 sq ft and an interior combining traditional and modern resonating the brand’s values. An elegant chandelier inspired by plum blossoms sets the mood of the space to complement an Asian Wisdom Zone, and pays tribute to heritage codes with traditional Korean paper décor. Boutique exclusives such as the limited edition Sulwhasoo Lantern Series, First Peace and Plum Blossom scented candles, make for a truly exquisite experience.

5. FashionValet

FashionValet is on a roll this year, adding to its arsenal of stores with 2 new openings in Publika and IOI City Mall. Its Publika store covers 3 lots, and maintains the design codes of airy minimalism, with marble walls, hints of gold, gilded mirrors and nooks with leafy greenery to complement a laidback-shopping atmosphere. 6. Mimpikita

After bidding an emotional goodbye to 8 years at its Jalan Telawi address, homegrown label Mimpikita announced a relocation to a bigger flagship store at Bangsar Baru. The founders have made their new venue a more spacious shopping space as well as added a homey touch to it, with art deco-inspired furniture, panelled gold walls and concrete floor, to perfectly sum up the label’s contemporary-meets-chic aesthetics.

7. Mo.men.tum

The store fills in utilitarian style gaps with bags and timepieces known to innovative frontliners like REC, SevenFriday, March LA.B, Corniche and HIRSCH. 8. Robinsons Kuala Lumpur
