The Italian fashion house describes the actress as "this generation’s icon of a beauty that embodies gentleness, strength, and a confident attitude"

Song Hye Kyo skyrocketed to global fame playing the beautiful and brave doctor, Kang Mo Yeon stationed at a war-torn country in one of the most popular South Korean dramas of all time, Descendants of The Sun. Since then, the world has been enraptured by her beauty and style, which makes her foray into the fashion and beauty industry over the last few years a natural progression in her career.

Adding Fendi to the list of luxury brands she endorses alongside Chaumet and Sulwhasoo, Song will join the Italian fashion house as their first-ever Korean Brand Ambassador. “I am very thrilled to be a part of the Fendi family as it is a brand close to my heart. I am looking forward to the exciting journey ahead with Fendi," said the actress and style icon.

This partnership with Fendi marks the luxury brand's renewed direction to expand its reach in the Asia-Pacific region, with the announcement of Ryoko Yonekura as their first Japanese Brand Ambassador earlier this year.

Song Hye Kyo took to Instagram to announce the big news, posting snaps of herself in gorgeous ensembles from the Fendi Spring/Summer 2021 Women's Collection, holding the iconic Peekaboo ISeeU Medium bag — one in orange and the other with intricate embroidery details.

She also shared her Fendi looks from Harper’s Bazaar Korea. During the interview, the actress revealed her determination to take on more roles outside her comfort zone but also expresses her concerns. "Acting gets harder, the more I do it. I used to think that acting would get easier when I get to my thirties... It gets harder and harder, and I still have a long way to go," said the actress.

Fortunately, we will be seeing much more of Song in 2021. After a long hiatus,  she is scheduled to make her much-anticipated Korean drama comeback in an eight-part drama series titled The Glory, which explores themes of childhood bullying and revenge.
