This year's Brit Awards—held at the O2 Arena in London—might have been a scaled down affair, but it still managed to give us several surprises both on and off the red carpet. Female power was front and centre at the awards: Taylor Swift made a dazzling appearance—her first since the Grammys in March—to accept Brits Global Icon award (the first female, non-British to do so); Dua Lipa swept the awards with three nominations and two wins (for British Album and British Female Solo Artist); Billie Eilish took home the International Female Solo Artist award (without being present, natch); Little Mix won the British Group award; and Haim clinched the International Group Award.
